EMPLOYMENT TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT FOR ADULTS

 

 

Employability Skills Development – Do you need help with your resume or want to improve your interviewing skills? We offer classes and one-on-one support for adult & dislocated workers on how to get the job you want and on how to keep it once you get it. Topics of discussion range from “Dress for Success” to “Resume and Cover letter development.”

 

Financial Literacy - Need to learn how to manage and save your money? Our financial literacy classes will help you to develop the basic skills you need to spend and save your money wisely.

 

G.E.D. Preparation - Never completed High School? Do you need to get your GED to secure better opportunities in life? Our instructors will help you to gain the knowledge to take the General Education

Diploma state exam. Classes are small so that you can receive the attention that you need to succeed. Must be 171/2 years old

or older to enroll.

 

Computer and Business Technology - Obtain a certificate in Computer and Business Technology. This class teaches Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Internet Applications and Customer Service. Increase your typing speed to get the job you want! 13 week classes are held Monday-Friday. There is a fee for this class, but scholarships are available.

 

Proud Parenting - Are you a father or mother who needs help learning how to connect with your children and be a good parent? Are you planning to become a parent? Or maybe you are thinking about a career in childcare? Then this class is for you! You will develop the basic skills necessary to become a caring responsible parent. You will also learn strategies for dealing with basic life challenges of society as it faces the youth and young adult today.  We offer fun classroom activities, field trips and guest speakers and much more.

Ages 14 - 25 years old.
