Case
Management
Studies show that programs, which support clients with
intensive case management, result in greater program engagement, retention
and completion. Every GSUL client is assigned a case manager. The case
management component is designed to work with clients to remove external
barriers that prevent program completion and success.

Emergency
Assistance
Utility, Rental and Public Transit Assistance. Applicants must meet income
guidelines and prove Sacramento Residency. For more information call

Employment Assistance
Offers
community citizens assistance in finding employment that will facilitate a
family’s self-sufficiency. Department services include posting job
openings, resume writing, developing interview skills and techniques,
effective cover letter and dress for success tips. The program
offers mock interviews with recruitment specialists that provide practical
feedback needed to master the art of job search success. Employment
Specialists work with clients and employers to insure that careers and
employees are perfectly matched.
Free Bus Service
We
will take you to and from your appointments. If you have trouble getting to
and from the Urban League or other community resources, we can help.

Free Lunch
Are you under the
age of 18? We offer free lunch during the summer to children and youth ages
1 - 18. Lunch served from 12:00 p.m-12:30 p.m. and snack from 4:00
p.m-4:30 p.m.
One Stop Career
Center
Need to use the Internet, find a job or fax a
resume? We have access to state & local positions. You can receive
application and resume assistance and
information on other
resources to help find the work or career that you desire. Our Sacramento
Works Career Center is open to the public. Monday through Thursday 9:00
a.m-4:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Play Care
Provides on-site childcare for GSUL clients. Play Care
offers more than just a babysitting service. Children enjoy a loving,
nurturing environment that serves their individual needs and abilities. Our
center provides opportunities for children to develop social and
recreational skills while giving clients the opportunity to participate in GSUL programs free of childcare worries.
Ages 1 - 6 years old.
