The Greater Sacramento Urban League works with the U.S. Department of Public Health to bring the PROMISE program to students/youth in this community. The program educates young people to make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. We want young people to be aware of sexually transmitted diseases and available clinical service, thereby allowing them to make healthy sexual choices. The education curriculum focuses on: - Abstinence
- Teenage Sexuality
- Pregnancy Prevention
- Healthy Sexual Behavior
- Incentives
Baby, Think It Over Having trouble talking to your child about pregnancy or STDs? Let your daughter take one of our computerized babies home for a week to give her something to think about. It will help your child to understand three important facts... - Each infant is unique and requires a great deal of love, time and attention.
- Infants’ demands are unpredictable but must be met promptly.
- Parenting responsibilities impact one’s lifestyle profoundly and should only be taken by someone prepared for that responsibility.
