Higher Heights Adult School

Higher Heights is an adult high school diploma program held at the Greater Sacramento Urban League, in partnership with Highland Community Charter School. Higher Heights is a tuition-free academic program offering adults, ages 22 and older, the opportunity to earn their high school diplomas. Our program is self-paced and offers each student individualized attention. You will learn and engage with credentialed instructors and committed student peers. In addition, students can receive career training in a variety of technical areas, such as Digital Media, Business Technology, and Information Technology. We also provide students individualized job assistance and training. Our goal is to support you on your way to achieving your education and the career of your dreams.

What we offer:

  •  High school diploma for adults (ages 22+)
  •  Self-paced learning environment
  •  Career training classes that count toward your diploma
  •  School credit for classes completed at previous high school(s)
  •  School credit for work experience
  •  Job placement assistance

Classes run Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Thursday classes end at 2:00 p.m.

Want to learn a bit more? Join us for our general GSUL orientations every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Job Center.

Ready to commit? Come to enrollment. Every Friday at 9:45 a.m.

  • Complete a short assessment (10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.)
  • Register and speak to a counselor (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
  • Start classes the following Monday.
  • Items to Bring:

o   State-issued Identification card (e.g., Driver’s License)

o   Proof of address (e.g., utility bill, etc.)

o   Unofficial transcripts (please pick up if you attended a local Sacramento area school)
