
GSUL offers two computer courses that are designed to prepare you with entry level computer and internet skills to be successful in the current job market. Learn the basics of computer hardware and software while developing an understanding of how to use Microsoft Office programs.
Computer Basics Course
The Computer Basics Course is an 8-week class offered 4x a week at two locations. Students learn how to improve their overall knowledge and familiarity with computer programs and softwares. Class size is limited to 8 students per class. Prospective students should register for only ONE class offering.

Microsoft Word and Excel Course
The Microsoft Word and Excel Course is an 8-week class offered 2x a week at two locations. Students learn how to create documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft applications to prepare them for today’s workforce. Class size is limited to 8 students per class. Prospective students should register for only ONE class offering.

Important Course Information:
- All classes are held in person.
- Courses are at no cost to community members; however, space is limited.
- All students are required to register on CalJobs.
- To sign up for the Microsoft Word and Excel Course students must first take the Computer Basics Course or test out of the class.
