Join us for our annual Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk on Saturday, June 21st at William Land Park – Village Green starting at 8:00 a.m. The event honors June 19, 1865, the date federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to ensure all enslaved people were freed. The run/walk signifies the time between the Emancipation Proclamation signing and this historic date. This fun event is a great way to socialize, get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and learn about the history of Juneteenth. Free for all ages!
