Our Workforce Development Team connects youth and adults seeking employment with employers looking to fill part-time, full-time, and seasonal positions. The Greater Sacramento Urban League’s goal is to provide opportunities for Black and other under-served populations to gain meaningful employment for career advancement. Some of our services include:
- Career Counseling
- Job Placement
- Professional Development Workshops
- Occupational Training
Who We Serve
- Youth and young adults (ages 16-24) looking to obtain job readiness skills and first-time employment.
- Adults seeking career development, occupational training, job placement, and soft skills to enter or re-enter today’s workforce.
Our primary service population is considered at risk for a variety of reasons: they are unemployed and underemployed, under-educated, and performance challenged by traditional learning environments, on public assistance or justice involved.
Job Talk
Job Talk is a monthly workshop series for individuals seeking employment. Each month GSUL invites an employer to discuss their current employment opportunities and share insights regarding their hiring procedures and application process. This is your opportunity to speak with recruiters and get hired! Job Talk is held every fourth Thursday of the month.
